The gallery below shows pictures I completed using a variety of pastel sticks and pastel pencils on Clairfontaine Pastelmat. This is now my preferred medium.
The selection of pictures below show some of my past work using different media, including watercolour and acrylic. I also completed a ‘one off’ stained glass panel a few years ago to go in our new front door after failing to find anything suitable. It depicts one of our dogs, Chester, on Stanage Edge. The watercolour pictures of the elephants and of Chester (the picture entitled ‘Who, me?’) were an experiment from 2017. I found a 2005 book, ‘Chinese Watercolour Techniques Painting Animals’ by Lian Quan Zhen, and decided to give it a go.
